Much of these changes and impacts are from the "4º Industrial Revolution" movement, also known as "Industry 4.0" (I.4.0), which has been promoting a disruption in the business models, creating new markets and destabilizing traditional forms. Being I.4.0 a strategic approach in the integration of advanced control systems with internet technology, allowing communication among people, machines, products and complex systems, this thesis aims in an unprecedented way, to define a method to assess the maturity level industries in relation to I.4.0 implementation, making a case study with an assessment of Brazilian auto parts segment, which can contribute to the awareness of the business and governmental societies, to initiatives of actions of adaptation, reaction and sustainability of the sector and, later, to be evaluated as a method to be applied in other industries. The study uses and compares the Monocriteria OPM3 / Likert and Multicriteria Promethee methods whit data collected from the application of a self-applicable questionnaire, using an exploratory descriptive survey to professionals from the industries. The questionnaire was designed to translate complex I.4.0 concepts for a practical assessment of their uses. As a main contribution from this study, it was possible to identify, in the sample performed, that the sector is in the "initial level" in its implementation and, complementarily by Promethee method, due to the better visibility of the results and analyzes, actions were identified to improve the maturity figureMestradoPesquisa Operacional e Gestão de ProcessosMestre em Engenharia de Produção e de Manufatur

Today the growth of modern cities is unprecedented in the history of urbanization and the urban environmental problems have also been increased. Unfortunately, there is no much time to modify past failures and improve the status quo, and ensure the protection of the environment. Consequently, it’s important to pay attention to the development of sustainable urban planning and its role in urban management issues is an objective that requires a new approach. On the other hand, Industry 4.0 (I.4.0), as called the 4th Industrial Revolution, carries impacts in the production on companies, the economy and society, with disruptive character, creating new markets and destabilizing the traditional way of doing business. Once I.4.0 is a strategic approach to the integration of advanced control systems with internet technology, enabling communication between people, products and complex systems, it’s expected to follow the same in the Smart Cities development. This article aims to relate technological tools of I.4.0 and the dimensions of “Smart Cities”, based on analytical framework for better understanding the emergence of new society ecosystem focused on the redefinition of the cities’ concept, urbanism and way of life, motivated by this new reconfiguration

Today the growth of modern cities is unprecedented in the history of urbanization and the urban environmental problems have also been increased. Unfortunately, we do not have much time to correct past failures, improve the status quo and ensure the protection of environment. Consequently, developing sustainable urban planning is important and its role in urban management issues is an objective that requires new approaches. On the other hand, Industry 4.0 (I. 4.0), also called the 4th Industrial Revolution, carries impacts in the production in companies, as well as in the economy and society, with disruptive character, creating new markets and destabilizing the traditional way of doing business. Once I. 4.0 is a strategic approach to the integration of advanced control systems with internet technology, enabling communication between people, products and complex systems, it is expected to follow the same in the Smart Cities development. This article aims to relate technological tools of I. 4.0 and the dimensions of "Smart Cities", based on an analytical framework for better understanding the emergence of new society ecosystem focused on the redefinition of the concept of cities, urbanism and way of life, motivated by this new reconfiguration. The study has answered the questions: 1- Smart Cities are using common technological tools of I. 4.0, and 2-I. 4.0 Tech tools have relevance as main booster for "new" Smart Cities concept, giving a guidance to the managers for a strategic development orientation, suggesting they should prioritize the introduction or development of IoT, IoD and IoS1031134115
